Guyana fans who like their Diamond on the lighter, dessert-y side will find plenty here: white chocolate, ripe banana, mango and a crème brûlée sweetness, with wood, anise and a faint burnt-plastic/rubber edge underneath. The PM pot-still mark is unmistakable but gentle. A few tasters felt the reduction to 53% left it a touch thin — "every sip is too thin," said one — so it drinks easy rather than heavy.

#6333 11.02.2026 Running a few samples after work to relax a bit and to clean up my cold. Pretty decent rum in my mind and the price tag is also OK. Intense and fruity with some caramel, anise and light metallic notes. The finish is very long and has hints of rubber.

Solid and agreeable Guyana rum. Alcohol is well integrated. On the nose less rum but rather tequila. Nutty and yellow fruits combined with smoke and a bit of burnt plastic. On the finish woody, earthy.

Surprisingly rounded profile - the post-2010 era of DDL often seemed a bit early-matured, which can no longer be easily assumed for this release. While more years of aging would also be an interesting factor here, even now the rum shows a pleasant depth and accessibility in the profile thanks to heavy milk sugar sweetness reminiscent of crème brûlée, as well as wood, spice, and fruit notes.

Edit: oxidation improved the integration of the alcohol. The gourmand notes express themselves more. Compared to the full proof version, the dilution really improves the profile! Nice tasting of Guyana today :) Young diamond continental. Despite the reduction, the alcohol is noticeable. The profile is overall rather pastry-like with an almond and butter side that reminds me of a macaron. A bit of orchard fruit and freshness complete the profile. It's not my preference.

An exciting nose! At first, it seems simple: white chocolate, grape seed oil, light citrus. But with patience, it becomes more and more fruity, on mango and tarte tatin. The bottom of the glass is oily, on coconut. On the palate, I feared it would be too reduced but no, it keeps its pep. Ripe banana, spices, and salty notes contrast with the nose, making the tasting interesting. The finish is softer, aligned with the rest of the palate, promising a nice indulgence. It makes you salivate! Something to sip without breaking the bank, or to gently enter the PM category. In my opinion, fruity, consensual.

Rhumtour 2025 First drop was so promising. Somehow I got lots of milkchoclate. But this so light. If it's diluted it's a shame. Interesting flavours are there but every sip is too thin. This is a bottle that Will be gone too fast.
