Chapter 2 aus dem Underdog-Split. Schmeckt schon deutlich besser als der Vorgänger mit niedrigem ABV. Dieser wird wohl ein Platz in meinem Regal finden. Geschmacklich fruchtig und dabei nicht zu süß. PLV ist unschlagbar.

Schwierig diesen Rum einzuordnen, da ich für den Preis nicht wirklich großartige Erwartungen hatte. Ich hatte die Befürchtung dass das Whisky Finish extrem dominant ist und alles kaputt macht. Dem ist aber nicht so. Trotzallem kein wirklicher Bringer, aber denoch für den Preis für den ein oder anderen interessant.

Back-to-Back Verkostung mit dem 82 Chapter 3 (RX18599); Erste Verkostung des Abends. Riecht ähnlich wie schon Chapter 1 Jamaikanisch-Estrig mit Noten von holziger Vanille. Eine Scharfe Süße auf der Zunge und am Gaumen, welche mit der Zeit leider noch schärfer wird und ordentlich Speichelfluss produziert und dann ins eindeutige unangenehm Bittere abdriftet.

Naja… ein trinkbarer Rum, der allerdings recht alkoholisch daherkommt. Er trifft leider überhaupt nicht meinen Geschmack… die Aromen, bis auf verbranntes Karamell und Würze werden vom Alkohol überdeckt.

Verkostet gegen die beiden anderen 82 Chapters to Newcastle. Überzeugen konnte mich keine der drei Abfûllungen. Diese gefällt mir von den dreien noch am besten. Annehmbare Nase und wenig(er) störendes am Gaumen. Muss ich aber nicht nochmal trinken.
