Well... a drinkable rum, but quite alcoholic. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my taste at all... the aromas, except for burnt caramel and spice, are overwhelmed by the alcohol.

Difficult to classify this rum, as I didn't really have high expectations for the price. I feared that the whisky finish would be extremely dominant and ruin everything. But that's not the case. Still not a real winner, but for the price, it might be interesting for some.

Tasted against the other two 82 Chapters to Newcastle. None of the three bottlings convinced me. This one I like best of the three. Acceptable nose and less disturbing on the palate. But I don't need to drink it again.

Chapter 2 from the Underdog split. Tastes clearly better than the predecessor with low ABV. This one will probably find a place on my shelf. Flavor-wise fruity and not too sweet. Price-performance ratio unbeatable.

Back-to-back tasting with the 82 Chapter 3 (RX18599); first tasting of the evening. Smells similar to Chapter 1 Jamaican-Esters with notes of woody vanilla. A sharp sweetness on the tongue and palate, which unfortunately gets even sharper over time and produces a lot of saliva, then drifts into a distinctly unpleasant bitterness.
