DDL S.B.S Guyana (Bourbon Cask) 2016
Most tasters land in the low 8s on this Demerara, and the recurring word is chocolate — dark chocolate, pralines, caramel and roasted nuts, with vanilla and spice on the long, warm finish. It reads a touch sweet despite no added sugar. The one real sticking point: at 65.7% the heat is big, and a few wished for a hair less punch.
The community says- Dark chocolate depth
- Long warm finish
- But: Very high ABV

How does DDL S.B.S Guyana (Bourbon Cask) 2016 taste?
Aggregated from 33 community reviews.
Chocolatey, roasted Demerara at big cask strength Loved for its dense chocolate, caramel and roasted-wood character, this Guyana runs hot at cask strength — several tasters wanted it a notch gentler, but almost all say it's worth trying.

Velká dobrota, čokoládová, dřevitá až oříšková mňamka. Trochu sladší, chuť velmi výrazná, hřejivý konec.

Ohh proste chutovka 👍🏼🙏🏼pokud se sezene jeste nejaka dalsi flaska tak urcite beru do zasoby. ——————————————————- Prechutnano a musim podotknout ze to je proste super rum, zacatek pekne nasladla vune s orisky cokoladou karamelem , chut drevo, koreni, silne procenta alkoholu a paradne to zahreje, v ustech vam uplne vybuchne. Konec dlouhy hrejivy cokoladovo vanilkovy.

Thanks to my friend I had opportunity try this exclusive bottling for Rum CZ/SK group. I have to say right from the start that the rum smells wonderful, but it needs to chill for a while (otherwise you will get hit with strong, strong aroma). I noticed very nice sweet scents of vanilla, chocolate and caramel which is complemented by the aroma of spices and wood. Taste is very strong and heavy, from the start I noticed sweet flavors (chocolate, molasses), then comes wood and some spices. I really do like finish where I noticed vanilla flavor and nice warm feeling. Overall very good, but very strong rum, at least for me I would rather have this rum with lower ABV (just a little bit). It is worth to try? Absolutely YES!
