If you like your Trinidad rum loud and cask-strength, this 13-year TDL is aimed at you. Caramel, dried fruit and coffee sit under a strong technical, almost polish-like note, plus that unmistakable TDL mint. The catch most tasters name: at 63.1% the alcohol isn't well integrated and can bury the flavor. Water helps bring out cocoa.

And the next TDL with a heavy ABV. Definitely different. Mint is also recognizable here, but otherwise this rum is quite sweetish. You can recognize caramel, but also some dark chocolate.

#6353 Enjoying a few samples while watching the final days of the Eco-Challenge Fiji. I admire how tough these people are and they just keep racing for days on end with very little sleep. Thank you Henrik for the free samples 😊 An average to below average release in my mind. Fruits and some light chocolate and green notes. The palate is dry and medium oily. A bit out of balance in my mind even when rested for a good while.

Love evenings like these. Aroma is very strong mostly technical (polish), but there is a strong sweet hint of honey and hint of lime (really interesting combination). There is also nice scent of wood which makes whole aroma round-y. Taste is really strong (for me not in a good way), but I like taste of green/white tea and coffee. I noticed small hint of dark chocolate, lot of spice (less will be better) and some dried fruits. Strongest flavor is technical. Finish is long (maybe due to high ABV), dry and warmy with hint of wood and dried fruits. To be honest I had better rums from Trinidad. This one is for people who like stronger, technical rums, but I tried to find something interesting in it and I have to mention again that flavor of green/white tea which was pretty interesting.

Beautiful matte bottle under 100 euros. You can feel the alcohol, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginner rum drinkers to discover new flavors. The mint from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

Quite sharp and alcoholic on its own. Becomes bit more cocoa-forward after adding few drops of water, but still it seems like the alcohol is not very well integrated. Didn't finish my sample.
