My first A.H. Riise Very intense for a start but with some courage to try a stronger rum a great experience. I liked the initially raisin notes and the licorice finish surprised me extremely. I can recommend this rum to anyone who wants a little highlight at the beginning, but it should be said that the stuff is sweetened and also has a lot of aromas pressed on it because not for nothing does a small sticker on the back of the bottle say: "May contain traces of walnuts" Still a great product and I like to drink it.

The nose expects a tour through the candy aisle. On the palate surprisingly a tiny hint of fruitiness that has to give way to the poorly integrated alcohol so quickly that you hardly notice it.

The alcohol is noticeable on the nose with a slight peppery note, but the spicy and fruity notes clearly dominate. On the palate notes of chocolate and fruit in a wonderful fullness. The finish is extra long with notes of chocolate and finally honey appears. Pleasant version of a Navy sweet rum (my first), which has significantly more intensity and fullness. Also, the fruity notes take a bit of a backseat compared to its milder brothers. I like it.
