A farm that looks like a TDL! The markers of Martinique are not obvious. Alcohol could be better integrated. A little pricey for a 4yo, but undeniably good!

Des perles plutôt fines sur le verre, une couleur "classique" pour l'âge. Au nez, une odeur assez déroutante de plastique ou de caoutchouc, de brulé. L'alcool vient ensuite titiller les narines. En bouche, déjà plus sympa en attaque avec de la canne a sucre, un fruité, avant que ce côté brulé ne prenne rapidement le dessus. La finale est plutôt courte, je m'attendais a plus d'imprégnation de ce côté brulé en gorge. Pas franchement a mon gout celui ci ! Dommage, la dernière sélection confrérie chez la Mauny était superbe !

The nose is charred, toasty, woody with some fruit on the side. The palate is very charred, then toasted wood, pepper, leather, citrus tobacco and a distant sweetness on the finish. In the empty glass intense seasoning.

An der Nase primär holzige und pflanzlich-erdige Aromen, die hintergründig fast etwas in Richtung von aromatischen Zigarren zielen. Am Gaumen mehr Süsse, dunkle Schokolade und Haselnuss, Zuckerrohr, Gewürze. Erneut zeigt sich eine ins torfige zeigende erdige Note, die mich aber nicht stört. Insgesamt dürfte das Profil etwas vollmundiger sein, auch der Abgang ist mir etwas zu verhalten.

Notes taken during the Rhum Fest 2024, Quick notes and a bit heavy palate, sorry :) We have here: a burnt, smoky side, a light brine? Rum: quite surprising, I'd never have guessed it was a La Mauny. Finish: intense, burnt, smoky It's still quite nice, not too much in my style, but it's a change, and it's well done.

Dégusté à l’aveugle chez Sandy, j’ai retrouvé les marqueurs agricole au nez. Les fûts retravaillés en chauffe portent le produit sur les empyreumatiques. J’ai trouvé la première gorgée violente, qui déchausse les molaires. Je trouve qu’il aurait mérité un peu plus de patin et d’affinage. L’alcool manque d’équilibre. Le produit est quand même globalement agréable.
