8,2:On the first nose, the first impression we get is a quite rigid rum with some medicinal/roasted notes, as roasted nuts and nail polish. Alcohol is not integrated very well. The rum is dark with thick molasses, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, herbal with black tea and dry with dried fruits, some bourbon notes, spices. Aeration brings out different facet of this rum, as becomes lighter and woodier with raisins, dried apricots, candied fruits and caramelized yellow fruits. Now it is delightful, yet we get another wave of new notes when rested at least 30 minute with berries and nougat. On the last nose we get some lime peel, rubber and it becomes a bit tanninic. 8:On the palate, the first attack is heavy and rigid with buttery cocoa, vanilla and dry with dried fruits, very peppery spicy. It is very woody, there's caramel, black tea, is bitter with roasted notes. After half an hour it opens, becomes gourmet and sweet with dark chocolate, caramelized confectionery, brown sugar. We receive another wave of notes later with citruses, tannins, after quite a while, it is very velvety with chocolate fudge, nougat, licorice and brandy notes. 8:The finish is at first dry and woody, quite intense with roasted nuts and tannins, dried fruits, spicy. When the rum opens, we get a different story, as the rum is fresh, lighter with brandy, dark chocolate and honey, nougat at grand final. It fucking opens up, when well rested, 8,7 then.... 🤘Very complex...It becomes fucking wonderful after 30 min of oxidation... 🤪.

Un rhum à la fois doux et d’une grande intensité. Le profil laisse à s’y méprendre pour un Foursquare : noix de coco, raisin sec, notes sucrées de caramel, chocolat, café, boisé, noisettes grillées et épices en tout genre remplissent le nez de gourmandise. Le profil est généreux et étonnamment doux. Le profil est chaud et intense au palais. Les arômes viennent harmonieusement se poser sur la cavité buccale : on retrouve un boisé toasté, des épices chaudes (piment, poivre), du chocolat noir, du café, des noix (coco et fruits à coques), du raisin sec ainsi que des notes pâtissières très intenses. La rondeur est marquée par le caramel et le sucre brun. L’alcool est présent mais bien intégré dans ce amas de douceur. La finale est longue, consistante et opulente, sensuelle et intense. Le caramel, la crème brûlée, les fruits évoqués précédemment et le chocolat noir prolongent le plaisir gustatif. Les épices et le bois sont marqués mais pas envahissants. Un profil puissant mais gouleyant à souhait, très bien maîtrisé sur toute la longueur.

What a beautiful Belize rum! Very powerful, intense, lovely nose with grated coconut, vanilla and dried fruit. Reminds me very much of a good Foursquare rum. Convincing on the palate again: I find all the aromas of the nose again. The alcohol makes quite a lot of steam. Better with water! The aftertaste tends to be slightly toasty. I can say without thinking twice: this is the best Belize I've had in my glass so far. I particularly recommend this rum to those who have previously enjoyed Spanish-style rums and generally as an introduction to rums at cask strength and for experimenting with the addition of water. The price-performance ratio is hard to beat!

Volle Breitseite Toffifee, geröstete Kokoschips, Mokka und dunkle Schokolade mit Fleur de sel und alles mit einem unfassbar dicken, öligen Mundgefühl bzw. Textur. Alkohol ist quasi nicht zu spüren und demnach sehr gut integriert. Wirklich guter Belize Single cask muss ich sagen, wenn auch fast schon etwas zu süß und mir persönlich etwas zu wenig Frucht und Komplexität. Aber dafür wirklich extrem süffig und gefährlich lecker. 2008 ist halt auch ein wirklich guter Jahrgang!

Wow. So viele Erinnerungen an Split Eis in der Nase mit jeder Menge tropischr Frucht. Dazu typisch Belize - Kokos - hier eher die Raspeln. Ein wenig ist das auch am Gaumen spürbar. Es bleibt leicht süß aber es überwiegen dann eher Kakao und Vanille. Der Alkohol ist spürbar entfaltet hier aber ein wunderbar kräftiges Aroma. Sehr gelungener Belize 👍 Der Flensburg bleibt für mich der intensivste aber der hier hat zumindest Mal die Nase vorn.

#4768 09.07.2024 Relaxing with a few samples at home. Nose Fresh, light wood, dried fruit, faint coffee, faint marzipan, light chocolate. Palate Oily, complex, balanced, wood, light roasted, light coffee, light chocolate, naturally sweet, faint coconut, light caramel. Finish Medium to long, balanced, naturally sweet, oily, light chocolate, faint coconut, dried fruit. The empty glass has vanilla, light nutts and light peach to it.

Nose is dominated by alcohol. Nice intensity and more complexity vs. some of the other Belize in our cross-tasting on the palate. alcohol integration isn‘t very good, however. Finish is long and intense adding some complexity.

Rum Friendly Club Advent Calendar, Day 7. A pastry nose with coconut, lots of sweetness, brown sugar, yellow fruit, vanilla and cedar wood. Sweetness on the palate too, with more pronounced and bitter wood, beautiful fruit and a little acidity that gives a pleasant freshness. The finish is rather short, although the woody bitterness lingers for quite a long time.

The best Belize I've had in a glass so far. Heavy and deep, seems older. The finish is like driving a sports car beast onto an empty highway via the acceleration lane and then just stepping on the gas - you are simply gripped and never let go. In other words: an endless and almost unbelievably gripping finish.

Auf diesen Rum wurde ich durch die guten Bewertungen scharf gemacht. In der Tat hat dieser Belize-Rum eine traumhafte runde Nase und im Mund ist der Alkohol gut integriert. Sehr röstig, extrem viel Bitterschokolade, holzig und außerdem intensive Vanille. Leider vermisse ich etwas die Früchte, um den Rum in Richtung 9/10 zu bewerten.

Uiii Kindheitserinnerung! Mein Vater brachte von seinen Londonreisen häufig die lila Quality-Street-Bonbon-Dose mit. Und das ist seeehr ähnlich: Nougat, Kokos, Toffee, Vanille. Wirklich lecker wenn man diese süssen, schweren Noten mag. Einzig der Alkohol hat eine kleine scharfe Kante. Aber insgesamt sehr gut!

Belize hatte ich noch nicht oft im Glas und relativ wenig Erwartung gehabt. Aber das ist eine starke Abfüllung. Sehr schöne Röstnote, Gewürze, tolle Holznote, etwas nussig, dunkle Schokolade. Durchaus komplex und mit dezenten NY94 Anklängen. Einzig das er relativ viel Süße mitbringt, stört mich ein wenig.

Toller Belize Rum Klebstoff und Kokos sowie ordentlich Schokolade von der Nase bis zum Abgang. Das ist einfach ein perfekter Spanier den ich mittlerweile oftmals z.B. Jamaikanern vorziehen. Was man zudem sagen muss komplett perfekt integrierter Alkohol, was nicht immer der Fall ist bei Belize Rums.

Heute zum Abschluss als Bottlekilldram erneut den RC#41 aus Belize. Auch nach mehrmaligen Tasting bleibt dieser Rum aus meiner Sicht ein ganz starker Vertreter seines Landes! Typische Belize Noten in der Nase und auf den Gaumen! Hier ist jeder Schluck sei Geld wert!

Rumclub No. 41 Belize 2008. Auch ein klasse Teil. Ist er in der süsseren Richtung einzuordnen, aber ganz human. Toleranz Nase, Vanille, Schokolade und Kaffe sind hier zu erkennen. Am Gaumen dann Karamell, Schokolade und Vanille. Echt lecker.

Bester Travellers!?, den ich bisher im Glas hatte. Wie auch beim Ed.38 geht das Profil stark Richtung 94er NY, was mir sehr gut gefällt. Top PLV! Auch bei der 2. Verkostung aus der frisch geöffneten Flasche weiß er zu gefallen.

Sehr geiler Belize, für mich etwas untypisch, da es eher weniger helle tropische Früchte und würzig ist, sondern viel Holz, Kaffee, sehr dunkel, getrocknete Früchte! Absolut geile Abfüllung die ich sehr gerne im Glas habe.

Typické tóny Travellers přebíjí doba strávená v sudu. Fajn skořicové tóny. Celkově vůně slabší, jemnější. Chuťově sametově se táhnoucí kokos, sušené ovoce, káva. Parádní hřejivý skořicový, kokosový a pralinkový závěr.
