Grundsolider leckerer 2009er VRW, welcher durch das finish aber auch ziemlich dominiert wird. Orange wine ist zwar ein Weißwein welcher mit orange nix zu tun hat, dennoch sind hier Noten davon zu finden, zusammen mit Weißwein Noten, einer leichten Säure und Kakao, sowie tropischen Früchten typisch long Pond. Ganz lecker aber wäre mir lieber ohne finish.

Fresh in the glass, there are lots of tropical, sweet fruits. After a while, the barrel notes come through more strongly. The palate is somewhat sweet at first, then very dry. Spices and woody aromas tend to come through here.

On The Rocks: On the nose a strong spice and oak aroma with mild sweetness with fruit and floral hints with hints of citrus. Taste starts very sweet with a sting spice presence with solid oak notes with the sweetness giving way to as little more bitter finish. The finish is long lingering in your mouth with a more bitter and oak mixture. Eventually the bitter starts to make way for a slightly sweet citrus note. This is a very interesting release and again is a bit of flavour bomb only good in small quantities. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose you you a slight sweetness with mild oak notes. Taste is slightly sweet but is reminiscent of a dusty old warehouse. Finish is short and nothing special. I do not suggest drinking mixed.
