Very nice Long Pond ITP, for me still a bit on the wild side. It has a nice power on the palate. I would have expected a little less for the price, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Great, more modern Long Pond. 11 years of tropical maturation show their effect. Great development in the glass, typical Long Pond aromas, which are generally very popular. I also like the label. Generally a nice 2007 ITP, which gives hope for a good future with this distillery.

8,9:On the nose, we get an estery, bourbonesque, damn' incredible rum. Yellow and tropical fruits, especially unripe banana are melted into a juicy marmelade infused directly in to freshly baked pastries topped with marzipan, creamy vanilla and crumbled roasted nuts. Yummy. Aeration brings out some coconut, caramel and mirabelle plum, gluey undertones.... Very round and balanced. 8,9:On the palate, the attack is with bourbon yellow fruits, tropical fruits like maracuja, banana, dark berries and cherry, spicy. There is a nice estery feeling. The wood is charred, caramelized, a bit resinous and dry with cream toffee, dark chocolate, nougat, there are delicious biscuits, with a pinch of salt, pastry and molasses dark, vegetal with mint. Damn' delicious. Round and balanced. 8,7:The finish is long, with charred, dry wood, vanilla, other spices, fruity with berries, cherry, banana, a bit musty and minty and tannic. Toller Long Pond ITP Fruchtige Nase mit Maracuja, Kirschen Orangenblüten und Klebstoff. Am Gaumen fällt er etwas ab aber immernoch sehr lecker nicht ganz so Fruchtig dafür mit Marzipan Plätzchenteig Notes ... Ich mag das Mark ITP immer mehr muss ich gestehen. Guter leckerer Rum.

A very exciting Long Pond. After some time in the glass, I found pipe tobacco very dominant, something I've never experienced with Jamaica. A real surprise. More typical Jamaica on the palate, very nicely balanced interplay of fruit and wood. Alcohol very well integrated. @Leo has dug up a nice rum 😉. I'd buy a bottle of that too.

Once again a mega tasty ITP 2007: passion fruit, sour cherry and oak on the nose with some glue. On the palate, oak and dark chocolate meet passion fruit and mint. Overall very astringent but still very balanced and tasty. Only the acidity is very dominant overall, but on the other hand it also makes the taste special.

Ein wirklich toller Long Pond, der durch die lange tropische Lagerung wirklich komplex geworden ist. Holz, Klebstoff, tropische Früchte und etwas Ester begleiten einen von Nase bis Abgang. In Nase und Gaumen findet man noch Sauerkirsche und ganz leichte Vanille, im Gaumen dann gebrannten Zucker und dunkle Schokolade - einfach komplex.

Am der Nase relativ unauffällig jedoch schon mit einer gewissen süße. Am Gaumen doch schon eine gewisse Vielfalt. Minze mit Maracuja. Außerdem sehr süß. Dazu noch ein toller und länger Abgang. Wirklich schönes Teil welches Eindruck hinterlässt.

Fruity ITP profile with fruits and tannins. Gets dry on the palate and rather spicy on the finish. Starts strong but has some weakness on the finish. Still solid release after some resting time in the glass

Die 11 Jahre Tropenreifung haben bei diesem 2007er ITP erkennbare Spuren hinterlassen. Neben seiner wunderbaren Fruchtvielfalt gibt es nämlich auch noch einen ordentlichen Fassbeitrag in Form von kräftiger Eichenwürze mit einem latenten Hang zur jungholzigen Tanninbitterkeit, welche zum Glück im absolut erträglichen Rahmen bleibt. Der Abgang dürfte für meinen Geschmack ein kleines bisschen weniger trocken sein, aber ansonsten ein echt feiner Rum.

Quite spicy and sweet on the nose with some fruit. On the palate, it's really tasty and spicy with quite good tannins, I imagine a little menthol in the background. Really tasty and round, but quite full-bodied, you have to like that. In the finish, the menthol note then turns into a slight bitterness. I like it quite a lot and I also think the price-pleasure ratio is right here.

The tropical years come out nicely through tropical esters with marzipan. The finish is a little too dry and astringent for me, a little more fruitiness would be good.

C’est léger mais agréable , fruits tropicaux, fruits secs, massepain, vanille, caramel au beurre, un peu de bois Belle texture, ample en bouche, encore beaucoup de fruits, un peu plus de bois patine, légers épices & esters. Un côté pâtissier avec du nougat également. Finale un peu amère, entre fruits, bois et épices sur un fond de menthol assez dark. Plutôt cool ! En même temps Long Pond ça me parle bien. Finalement moyennement longue mais super agréable, et alcool super bien intégré. Mon préféré pour le moment !
