Coconut leads on the nose — then vanilla, oak and a wash of caramel, with the port finish showing as dried plum and red fruit. It's a Foursquare that got interesting because Dead Reckoning played with it. Rich, almost syrupy on the palate, but at 52% the heat sticks around, and a few tasters felt the alcohol never fully sat down.

Without the finishing, it would probably just be another good but boring Foursquare for me, but the way Dead Reckoning played with it, we have a pretty interesting piece. The finish is very overwritten, but I didn't mind it at all.

Pub The Rumah Rotterdam April 2026. I have over 80% match here, but I don’t feel that at all right now. Otherwise a decent Foursquare, lots of coconut, but also vanilla and caramel are recognizable here.

Mostly generic but good enough foursquare rum. The nose is interesting enough, but the palate is most distinctly ’hot’ and a little sweet. Aside from that there are some dried plum/ raisin notes. It’s good but not exciting. The cost in the UK is £150, more than an ECS and I don’t think it compares favourably from a price to value ratio with the ECS releases I’ve tried.
