Palate Oily, medium dry, fresh, floral, light smoke, citrus, sugarcane, light spicy. Finish Medium to long, oily, dry, light smoke, citrus, sugarcane. Empty glass Sugarcane, smoke, citrus, light floral.

Too hard on the attack. Too much smoke. I can't find the blue cane. Quite disappointed.

Perfumed nose with intense sweet cane, floral, vegetal(green) and some citrus. The palate is clear and intense with notes of autumn underbrush loam, moss, sweet cane, flowers, light citrus, super delicious! A "grappa" with great personality, for me quintessential cane bleue. In the empty glass musk and earth (my favorite aromas, that's why the high rating, objectively an 8+)

A good white rum from La Favorite. I find that it has an interesting evolution around cane during tasting. It starts with a sweet floral and citrus nose. Then an oily palate with earth, vegetal notes such as stone and spices. A fairly persistent finish, slightly peaty, with grapefruit.

La Favorite - Plaisance blue cane 2023 - 51% - 🇲🇶 La Favorite releases a juice from the "plaisance" plot where the distillery has partially planted blue cane. So we have a mono-varietal and mono-plot juice. We get a super vegetal/floral side with some spices (Kampot pepper) but mainly potpourri and a little something like throat lozenges, Ricola style. The well-ripened cane brings a nice sweetness. More typical "La Favorite" than its predecessors (digue and bel air).
