#6912 13.06.2026 Relaxing with some samples after a nice dinner and evening at my friends place. Listening to some powerful Psy Trance on Spotify. A åpretty decent rum but the price tag is a bit off in my mind. A nice balanced profile with nice floral, spice, fruits, and caramel in the raosted wood. Needs to rest to really open up.

This special bottling also doesn't fully convince, because the nose is very reserved, even though there are harmonious aromas. The mouthfeel is basically okay, but also rather thin here. The pot still of the Takamaka distillery still has a lot of room for improvement.

Tasted at RhumFest Paris 2025. Undeniable upgrade for this distillery. Here we have a nice rum dominated by a note of cinnamon and red fruits. The integration of the alcohol is not great. The pineau brings a lot of roundness. High price.

Unlike the normal "le clos," this one has more raisin, sweetness and dried fruit again but is still quite sharp and strenuous to drink alcohol-wise. The rum doesn't really open up to me and the price-performance ratio is really more than exaggerated...
