Clément Rhum clément - Cuvée de l'habitation bottle

Clément Rhum clément - Cuvée de l'habitation

Agricole drinkers who like it soft and polished will get on with this one. The nose is the strong part: fresh sugar-cane juice, vanilla, grated coconut and a bit of candied lemon, with oak, leather and cigar showing up toward the long finish. On the palate it's gentle and fruity but, as several tasters note, a touch diluted and short on real depth for a prestige cuvée.

The community says
  • Fresh cane-juice nose
  • Long leathery finish
  • But: Feels a bit diluted

Nice - not great. Good nose, a bit fruity - with oak and leather type. Attack a bit too soft - bit too mild and soft to my taste - but pleasant enough - especially towards the finish So overall drinkable but not great

Distillerie du Simon

Avg Rating 8.0/10 over 330 Rums

Le Simon is Martinique's ghostwriter. It is the island's most technologically advanced distillery, yet it sells no rum under its own name, runs no public tours, and ages nothing on site. Instead it distils two of the most beloved names in Martinique agricole, HSE and, until recently, Clement, on stills moved here from their original homes. What you taste as HSE is, in fact, Le Simon.
