This is a very complete rum with all the good aspect you want … all in one rum. Very smooth.

Better than the “Élixir” from the same distiller. Short on the palate and lacks depth. But nicely fruity and pleasant. It seems a bit too diluted. Overall a good agricole rum, well balanced. Tasted again and it seemed better than I remembered.

Needs to be aired for a long time to open up. Intense and spicy nose with notes of copper and wood. Having visited the distillery and the place where old barrels are stored, you find this smell of oak, leather and spices. On the palate, I find it less nice, notes of spices, leather and again wood or barrels, but all slightly too iodine-like I think. The finish is my favorite part in this rum, long, in leather, wood, tobacco, cigar... I really like the finish! To sum up, it's a good rum especially on the finish, but I still find it a bit too expensive!

On the nose, you immediately get a delight of cane juice that still retains a lot of freshness. A puff of vanilla invades the nostrils with a slight candied lemon. You also perceive a bit of powdered coconut. It's soft and fruity. The oak woodiness is discreet but present. The attack on the mouth is more pastry-like, with notes of coconut flan. The alcohol is very soft and well integrated. Sweet spices come to coat the palate and the back of the throat: a slight cinnamon, a bit of cardamom, coated with syrupy honey. Grated coconut is present from start to finish with this sun-soaked cane juice spreading. It's perfectly balanced, straight and consistent. A real delight to bring out for big occasions, but I couldn't resist sharing my sensations with you. The finish is curiously on a candied apple, with the woodiness and vanilla reclaiming their rights.

🌱 Clément – Cuvée de l’Habitation (40%) Exclusive blend of the best Clément vintages from the last 15 years, presented in a beautiful crystal decanter that clearly sets the tone: prestige cuvée. 👉 On the nose, it’s intense, very spicy, promising. 👉 On the palate, unfortunately the disappointment shows up: lack of depth, finish too short. It’s fruity, pleasant, well made… but too diluted to deliver the expected “wow” of an exclusive cuvée. ➡️ A well-balanced rum, easy to sip, but won’t leave a lasting impression.
