Made for agricole drinkers who want an aged, woody Martinique sipper over raw grass. It's round and elegant: dried figs and apricots, young oak, pepper, a touch of banana and pastry-like sweetness with a green vegetal edge. Several tasters loved the finish but noted a "rhum trop jeune" feel and only medium length. A retirement tribute bottling, tasty but not the deepest of its kind.

A decent rum, but not worth the price. Very vegetal on the nose, a little dried fruit (fig, apricot), quite a bit of oak, a little spice (pepper, vanilla). Too young for us to fully accept. Average length on the palate.

The nose is elegant and fragrant, with sweet dried fruits (dates, apricots, figs), vegetables, young wood, hazelnuts, pastry, citrus. The palate maintains the same aromas with vegetal dominance (even something earthy) and added pepper. The whole round with little depth and body, a short, but delicious finish

Pleasant, easily accessible but with a nice complexity. A crescendo tasting from my point of view, from the nose to the finish, which I really like. On the nose, I'm surprised, quite green (the bottle has just been opened). A little bitter caramel, a little banana. Very pastry-like on the palate, quite wise but with a nice liveliness on the finish. The cask is well kà and gives the palate a patina, with hints of toast. I really like the finish.

I expected a bit more intensity but the taste remains very pleasant, bringing in the finish the nice aged/old cask taste of La Favorite.

I had the chance to taste this beautiful bottle in Martinique when it was released, it's very good, smooth, round, the blend is well chosen even if in the end it doesn't reach the quality of a lulu privilege.
