Made for people who like tinkering with unusual blends — this one crosses Ghana and Vietnamese rum, and it drinks green and grassy, close to an agricole. Expect citrus, banana, herbs and light wood, with a floral, vegetal core. One taster called it "funky and totaly rounded," but most agree it comes across thin and watery at 45.2%, with a short finish.

On the nose smoky kid puke. Not unpleasant. Clairin? On the palate the Haiti note recedes significantly. The rum now seems a bit boring because nothing stands out prominently, but I don't dislike it, for me an easy sipper.

For me personally, neither here nor there. Once again a nice experiment, but unfortunately nothing more. For pure enjoyment, I find it a bit too thin. As a mixer, somewhat more agreeable, but still not really convincing. Fair enough for the price though.

Ew, the nose doesn't grab me at all. Fermented vegetables, but not the good kind. Along with a bit of cocoa in the background. On the palate it gets better, still vegetal but with creamy butterscotch biscuits, oily mouthfeel and slight barrel influence. Finish is quite short, with a light pepper. Hardly any alcohol noticeable. Doesn't really grab me, but an interesting combo.

Interesting mixture, strong Agricole in the nose, some ester, fruits and much less vegetale notes on the palate. The finish gets sweeter bit it feels a bit too diluted. Interesting and maybe good as a mixer but neat - nothing you would need a bottle of.

Good blend from Ghana and Sampan. Both profiles somehow come through. From Sampan the fruits like banana, from Ghana dry, floral notes with vanilla. Slightly alcoholic finish.

#4574 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit This rum want really me. I'm pretty sure there will be a mixer where It will perform well. Nose Fresh, light wood and faint roasted notes, fruity, floral, light herbs. Palate Light wood, faint smoke, fruits, herbs, light floral notes. Finish Short to medium, light wood, lightly sweet, dried fruit, light herbs.

Somehow a very vegetal/fruity rum. Especially citrus fruits on the nose, comes very fresh. On the palate then tropical and yellow fruits (banana). But also very vegetal and floral. I can't really detect herbs.

Nice idea but it doesn't really convince me. Extremely fruity on the nose, almost artificially fruity. On the palate then vegetal, herbal, at the same time nutty woody and with a honey-like sweetness and artificial banana aromas, I think with a few % more it would have been better. As it is, however, it is extremely diluted and thin.

At first very exciting and complex in the smell with notes of fruits and spices with many green tones. Then very boring in taste like a way too watered down agricole. Also unfortunately very short. Shame.

Another blend, this time Ghana and Vietnam meet. The result shows mainly vegetal notes, the sugarcane comes through strongly and wood influence is also noticeable. On the fruity side banana dominates and a little fruit bread. Not uninteresting but for me not really convincing either.

The dominant note of this blend is very floral/vegetal. On the nose, you also perceive citrus fruits, lychee, and olive. On the palate, more fruit notes come forward. The sweetness reminds a bit of syrup. The finish is unspectacular. Overall an interesting blend, but it feels somewhat diluted and personally doesn't convince me.

Smell-wise, it had a gentle Nanny of the Maroons on the nose. In taste, there’s actually a hint of it. Unfortunately, that’s all there is. I miss the strength. But as a party rum it fits. Also great for beginners. Would love more of this with higher proof and longer aging.

I expected more. It's closer to an unaged rum, but it lacks that freshness that white rums have. I have mixed feelings :-(.

Nose: Typical agricole notes, but there's more, a somewhat floral, green note that somehow reminds me of Savanna Creol. Palate: On the palate, some freshness, some herbs, slight roasted aromas. Unfortunately, it lacks power for my taste and overall I find it somewhat bland, no real unique feature. Conclusion: You can drink it, but you don't have to. Not really bad, but not interesting enough for my taste, there are simply enough other, more exciting bottlings.

As an experiment, probably good. I think it will be nice in a drink. I feel a lot of fruit (mainly bananas). The sample for tasting is good, didn't offend, but it's really not for a bottle.
