Tasting at J. B. Labat. A vegetal nose with brown sugar, a floral side and fruits, especially pineapple and mango. Great sweetness on the palate, you sense a pastry side beyond the fruits and like a tiny hint of cognac. Beautiful complexity! The finish is nice, all the aromas are present with a light woodiness. The empty glass mainly expresses fruits, a whole basket of fruits.

Crushed apple, light fruits, agricole markers, oranges, thus tasting slightly reminiscent of a Courcelles. Interesting that it spent its entire aging time in a Cognac cask. It makes it accessible, smoother and broader in taste. Bielle purists might not necessarily like that, but personally it suits me very well. Would be a good choice for people who otherwise have less access to agricole rum.

#4800 28.07.2024 Enjoying a few samples while watching the new Godzilla movie. Nose Medium intense, Agricole, light grass, light wood, orange, light raisin, light herbs. Palate Oily, balanced, medium dry, Agricole, light floral, orange, faint citrus, faint mint, faint grass, light herbs. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, light wood, balanced, medium dry, light orange, light dried fruit. The empty glass has light pineapple and faint chocolate as well as a light candy note.

Nice bottling from Cave Guildive. Pretty good I must say. Nice notes of wood and plants on the nose. On the palate, tropical fruits come in. Very complex this rum, but also recommendable.
