Mega Uitvlugt! The finish already brings a lot of sweetness, but overall it is well integrated. Uitvlugt is clearly recognizable, although some of the typical glue notes are missing. Very round, sweet, cinnamon on the finish.

31-08-2025 - Rate 8.7 German Rum Festival 2nd rum with El Dorado was this very nice Uitvlugt. My favorite of the 3. Nose wood, spices and leather. Palate wood, spice, pepper and dried dates. Medium finish dominated by wood, pepper and a hint of polish. 12-09-2025 - Rate 8.7 11-02-2026 - Rate 8.9

For me the best out of the El Dorado cask finish series so far. The Uitvlugt works really well with the port, which adds a basket of continental fruits and some sweetness balancing intense notes from the long tropical maturation. Dry on the finish especially but still well balanced. Not as adstringend and wood forwards than some of the other bottlings of the series - yet my favorite so far.
