Wood leads the way here — oak on the nose, oak in the mouth, backed by vanilla, licorice and tropical fruit like pineapple and mango. There's a floral, vegetal Savanna character too, plus cinnamon and nutmeg once you dig in. The catch is the body: at 43% it comes across thin, with a short, slightly dry finish. A lovely nose that the palate can't quite match.

Really great nose! Fruity, floral and pleasant wood notes. On the palate unfortunately lacks some body and the finish is quite short. Slightly soapy note. It's a pity that the palate drops off like that. At cask strength, this could have been a fantastic rum.

The nose is very sweet and fruity. Fruity on tropical fruits (Pineapple, Mango). Even if the fruity gleans a lot of space, other aromas, such as caramel-honey and a light woody taste manage to make their way. In the mouth it is more complex, we find the tropical fruits of the nose, but also full of spices (cinnamon-musk), and the typical olive of the distillery and woody. The finish is warm although it is a bit dry and bitter. To conclude, this is a vintage holding a nice variety of flavors but lacking a bit of watts with this 43% reduction.
