What surprises people is how gentle and rounded this young agricole drinks, with the Mizunara oak lending an almost Japanese-whisky softness. Expect fresh pineapple, orange peel, sugarcane and marzipan, with black pepper and allspice underneath. Tasters call it silky and juicy yet dry at the same time. A few felt the youth showed and expected a bit more depth.

A very fine and delicate Neisson at first. Perfume. Flowers. Chamomille. Dry. Sugarcane juice. In taste: more hay. Grass. Chamomille is very present. A bit of white pepper. There's some young perfumated wood present, very delicate, might be the mizunara. All in all nice and well balanced. A bit like a Japanese whisky.

#6360 15.02.2026 Enjoying a sample while watching "Eat, ride, win" on HBO Max. Another Mizunara cask release and like the others this one is alos velvety on the palate and the profile is smooth. Fruity and light spicy with nice wood and faint smoke.

Great young Agricole and my first Agricole with a mizunara finish. Gigantic nose of pineapple, pear, almonds, marzipan and cinnamon. Aromatically a great sweetness, paired with black pepper, allspice, cinnamon and dark chocolate with sea salt and orange peel, then pineapple and orange again. Pleasant tannins and generally really well selected and delicious. In the finish, a little more herbs and wood as well as ginger notes are added. Overall, a very round, warm and 'crispy' profile! Positively surprised! Finally Mizunara finish excellently chosen and completed!

A very sweet and safe nose on this Neisson. Yellow fruit, almond, cane and citrus. These impressions are confirmed on the palate with a very soft attack. A discreet woodiness. Very pleasant. But not up to my expectations. I wonder to what extent it's the casks that bring out this smoothness.

The Neisson Mizunara won me over, with a more exotic side brought by this light aging (it's an ESB) in Japanese Mizunara oak casks. Both the nose and the palate are more expressive, with more fresh pineapple added to the sun-drenched cane juice and a strong vanilla note from the naturally vanillin-rich cask. It's well-balanced from nose to finish, and makes you want to buy the bottle if only it weren't so rare and expensive for an ESB.

The natural sweetness provided by 18 months in Mizunara oak barrels is marvellous. I find this batch 2 better than the 1st batch.

It’s very good. You find the usual Neisson warmth. I really like the aromas of pineapple, chocolate with a hint of orange. The length is moderately long. A good everyday rum 😁

This was good one. Aroma is very roundy, gentle which I really like when I trying agricolle rums. I noticed spice, hint of wood, floral scent, some sweet notes (vanilla, sugarcane) and lot of fruit (citrus and pear mostly) but in the very gentle way. Taste is almost the same is the aroma. Gentle in the best way possible, some spice and vegetal flavors, I noticed wood/oak and lot of orange peel (absolutely love it). What was interesting taste is dry and at the same time juicy. Finish is quite long, warmy, spicy and juicy with lot of pineapple. One of the best if not the best agricole for me … at least yet. Great, great rum.
