#5809 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This one is even better than the other release. The profile is stronger, more wood and spices are well blended with the ABV. Natural sweetness with some nice cinnamon.

Then there's a brown Agricole afterwards. Like almost all aged Agricoles, we have wood and lots of spice here. On the palate you can detect vanilla but also some honey. It's a tad too sweet.

Frisches Zuckerrohr, Vanille, tropische Früchte und feine Holz- und Gewürznoten ergeben ein ausgewogenes Profil. Das Fass ist präsent, ohne den Agricole-Charakter zu überdecken. Es fehlt ihm etwas Reife und Tiefe, insgesamt hinterlässt er aber einen sehr stimmigen und vielversprechenden Eindruck.

Overall you find young wood with a very slight vanilla, lots of peppery spices, maybe even a bit too much. There's also a lemony note and a very light floral honey on the palate. This rum didn't impress me.

Too spicy for me Tasted again blind Avent 2024: same impressions, but letting it rest a bit it improves with honey and fruits revealing themselves. Quite light and round, easy, but still too much spice presence for me. Very correct for an ESB. Crff2025: easy, soft, quite common, but good.

An easy-to-drink agricole rum, on the palate the woody aroma is quite present, you feel a slight spicy taste behind. The alcohol is well integrated and despite its lack of complexity it remains a good rum to start with.
