Naga 12 ans rum is very easy to grasp. Wood and caramel dominate from the nose to the finish. Sweet spices make a discreet appearance. Despite the fact that it lacks a little complexity, this is a very pleasant rum indeed.

The wood from the barrel is particularly prominent here. At first, there is a hint of glue. The creamy, caramel notes remind me very much of Venezuelan rum. Earthy and a little dusty on the palate.

Reminds me of licking a piece of charred wood. Nose at first reminded me of glue, but there must be some herby/vegetal notes that I can’t place. Softens after a few minutes in the glass to a point where the nose is even pleasant (like the smell after roasting marshmallows over a fire, when the coals are barely hot anymore)

I thought the calendar said Siam 10yo again, but I was wrong😃 Anyway, this one is an order of magnitude worse because it's too sweet for me. A big shame not only with this rum but a lot of others. I would love to try the unsweetened version but just unfortunately.

Sample no.5 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2024. Nose is sweet and round with a herbal or green vegetal finish. Palate is less sweet and more herbal and vegetal.

24 days of Rum calendar mini #5. Caramel and orange marmalade. Maybe pineapple. The fruity elements don't really mesh great though. It's ok, just a little imbalanced. Dark golden pour.
