08.08.2026 Retasting and I still like it a lot. ----------- 14.12.2019 A nice get together in a summerhouse with family and friends and rum for some of us. Notes Medium dark to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, intense, wood, light roasted, varnish, cinnamon, tannins, light tobacco, fruits. Palate Intense, warm, wood, light varnish, vegetal, light tobacco,fruits, spicy, medium dry. Finish Long and warm, wood, tannins, tobacco, spice, dried fruit, faint chocolate, dry.

🌋 Depaz 2004 – 58% Heading to Montagne Pelée with this Depaz 2004, from a series of single casks that became iconic after the success of the 2000 vintage. Aged 13.5 years in small French oak barrels, this batch comes from barrel no. 3372. On the nose, you find a beautiful classic agricole framework: dried fruits, vanilla, and varnish notes. On the palate, the body is generous, with a nice length and brioche accents, although the alcohol shows a bit more bite.

Beautiful agricole nose of dried fruits, varnish, vanilla wood. After a few minutes (or even an hour) of aeration you notice brioche notes and even marzipan, beautiful length on the palate, the alcohol is lively but well integrated. The expression of agricole in all its splendor.
