Characterless with a lot of sweet wine, otherwise quite flat. 😔

Moscatel is actually one of my favorite sweet wine variants when it comes to aging spirits, but here I think they went too far. I might overlook the minimal sulfur contamination of the cask, but the cloyingly sweet wet cask completely masks any basic character of the rum.

Read full review →A style that polarizes. For purists and Jamaica aficionados, this rum is certainly not the right one. If you don't like the typical Jamaica funk with its high ester concentrate and the associated oily, dirty aromas, this rum is definitely worth a try.
