All in all, a nice Foursquare with the lovely coconut notes you expect. Nothing special, but as always at a high level. The profile is just nice and the price is fair by now.

8,4:On the nose, sweet toasted wood notes like nougat, chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, some leather, metallic and medicinal with glue, coconut, orange/orangepeel, dried apricots, raisins, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, molasses is earthy, musty, slightly vegetal, grassy, fermented banana and some candied fruits arise, biscuits and spicy wood join. 7,8:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, metallic, sweet, oily with toasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate/cocoa, leather, spicy vanilla, a bit salty, tannic, bourbon barrel impact is strong, fruity with coconut, dried apricots and raisins, citrus fruits, a bit acidic molasses is earthy, slightly bitter. 7,6:The finish is short, dry and tannic with toasted oak notes, spicy, metallic, molasses is earthy with tobacco, fruity with dried, citrus fruits, pineapple..

From the first second, aromas of coconut flow into the nose, very pleasant, I perceive some vanilla and cocoa. Taste is honey with vanilla and light coconut. Alcohol already noticeable and burns slightly in the finish. Solid representative, fully okay.

Ein durchschnittlicher, nicht sonderlich komplexer Foursquare, bei welchem die Kokosnuss im Gaumen besonders ausgeprägt ist. Daneben sind von Nase bis Abgang die üblichen Foursquarearomen Vanille, Holz und Gewürze vertreten. Früchte kann man jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden.

10/09/23: tasted @ Spiritsfestival Kempenland Geel. Instantly recognisable Foursquare profile. Good quality, always tasty but not the most interesting or complex release. I love how they tried to use the Foursquare name on the label without actually writing it!
