Very rich and intense on the note despite the low ABV. Lots of complexity with dried fruits, spices from the cask, vanilla, chocolate and a hint of coconut. All wounderfully balanced. On the palate a bit less exciting compared to the nose, yet still excellent. The profile as a column vibe to it. Again rich red fruits and chocolate are cornerstones. Likewise the low ABV isnt any problem on the palate as well. This is extrem high quality and a pure pleasure to taste such an old Demerara expression.

#7094 25.07.2026 My good friend came over to pick up some bottles I sourced for him, so I decided to share some of my good samples as his wife was driving 😊 A very nice and semi light well rounded rum with a very good price at release. Medium intense to intense profile with fruits, spice, polish, roasted wood, tobacco and some light nutts.

Messe-Eindruck vom 14. GRF in Berlin 2025. Viel Karamell, Melasse und Eichenfassnoten, die ebenso bekannten wie beliebten Aromen der alten Demeraras aus den gängigen Releases der 60iger und 70iger Jahre - Leder, Tabak, Pflaume - spielen hier kaum eine Rolle. Immer noch ein sehr schöner Rum und natürlich ein geschichtsträchtiges Vergnügen, einen Demerara aus den späten 50iger Jahren geniessen zu dürfen, aber für die allerhöchsten Weihen reicht mir das Profil nicht.

Großes Kino! Habe mir vom 14. GRF in Berlin ein Sample abfüllen lassen. Typisches altes Enmore-Profil mit Melasse, Tabak, Holz, aber auch Karamell und Pflaume. In Abgang etwas zu viel Column, etwas flach. Müsste vom Jahrgang Ende 50er Jahre sein.
