7,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is quite heavy, winterly with roasted oak and pastry, chocolate, toffee, nuts, spicy with cinnamon, vanilla, fruits like pear, mirabelle plum, as the molasses is herbaceous, floral. 7,6:On the palate, the attack is dry, slightly mineral, soapy with various fruits like dried, yellow, pears, roasted oak with pastry, caramel, milk chocolate, nuts, spicy with cinnamon, some hints of metallic patina arise. 7,7:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, fruity with yellow fruits and pears, the oak is roasted, buttery with pastry, marzipan, chocolate, nuts, spicy with vanilla.

Wagemut Barrel Language No. 10, this time the pear barrel. This one doesn't come across as woody on nose and palate like the others. Somehow it gives me a fresh impression, it comes across fruity. Quite okay.

Pear: probably the darkest color in the series. I know this cask very well, as the Bellamy's Martinique Pear finish was aged in the same cask. Intense cinnamon pastry notes with pear compote, which on the nose already remind of Agricole. On the palate, however, somewhat inconsistent. Cinnamon is there, some milk chocolate but then it gets a bit alcoholic and unbalanced. Feels very schnapps-like in the finish like a rather simple Williams pear schnapps. But the color is really crazy after only 6 months!

Tenth sample of the Wagemut Fasssprache: PEAR Here the name is the program, even though the pear never comes through as strong as you might wish. It is there from beginning to end. Especially in the nose, it is clearly present.

Surprisingly little cask influence, no special taste, rather neutral. I expected more.
