Wagemut Fasssprache No. 13, here the Kiri cask. In this rum the cask influence is clearly noticeable again, it tastes very woody. Also it comes off slightly fruity. Nice combo and also quite okay this rum.

7:On the nose, the first impression we get is harsh, mineral, with musty, grassy, flowery molasses, resinous oak, smoky, spicy with butterscotch, vanilla, frankincense, buttery, slightly sulphurous and fruity. 6,8:On the palate, the attack is harsh, dry, slightly fruity, with resinous oak, spicy, nutty, cardboard, caramel, the molasses is musty, vegetal. 6,7:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with resinous wood, cardboard, nutty, smoky with confectionery, the molasses is vegetal, floral..

Kiri: Asian super fast-growing tree. Smells very smoky and resinous above all. Taste-wise, this is probably one of the most intense wood influences I've ever experienced. Apart from resin, you almost taste nothing else. Bitter, oily and astringent, puckering. Not my thing at all. But now I can say I've drunk something from this barrel! 😃
