6,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is intense, rough, with roasted wood notes like cocoa, marzipan, nuts, slightly resinous, spicy with pepper, medicinal with cough syrup, fruity with cherry and the molasses is flowery, vegetal, musty. 7:On the palate, the attack is dry, fruity with pear, cherry, medicinal with cough syrup, the wood is roasted, nutty, salty, peppery and the molasses vegetal, musty, herbaceous. 6,9:The finish is medium long, dry, medicinal, the oak is resinous, slightly roasted with chocolate, caramel, cardboard notes arise, the molasses is herbaceous, musty, we might notice cherries..

Wagemut Barrel Language No. 11, yesterday the cherry barrel. Comes across more woody on the nose and palate than No. 10. Tastes more like young wood than old. Overall, this rum is quite okay as well.

Cherry: on the nose really like an old damp dresser at grandma's. Musty, heavy, herbal, resinous and intense. However, after some time also subtle marzipan notes typical for cherries, cherry also comes through (who would have thought?) very subtly but is quickly overshadowed by the resinous musty notes. Definitely not my favorite but highly exciting...

Nice nose. On the palate good cask influence, actually cherry and red fruits, still very young of course.
