Rum and chocolate tasting by Rum Club Switzerland. A lively nose of old oak and varnish. A nose of old cellar and overripe banana. The lively entry is immediately tempered by bitter caramel, a touch of chocolate and fruit. The finish is moderately long, the aromas disappearing fairly quickly. All that remains on the palate is a taste of caramel and old wood. The empty glass reveals vanilla and a hint of smoke. Everything is equal, giving an impression of balance that's a little lacking on the palate. A fine rum, but for my taste too marked by caramel and lacking a little balance.

Very strong, typical Guyana nose of banana, dried fruit and raisins, dark caramel, dark chocolate and licorice. The taste is quite tart, dark, bitter and astringent, almost reminiscent of dark malt beer and licorice sweets. But also lots of wood and slightly burnt caramel and strong coffee! Nevertheless, very tasty and harmonious.
