Just bottled for splitting and now finally in the glass for tasting. As expected with a Ruby Port finish, you are greeted by nice berry fruits, which also bring corresponding sweetness that remains here; the finish is indeed very successful. Overall a pretty rounded and very tasty affair.

I had expected a bit more here.. ultimately a disappointment. The nose is barely noticeable. A little fruitiness and a bit more alcohol. The palate is also very flat with a bit of cinnamon and nut. The port finish is barely detectable. The finish is short and unremarkable. A pity, the port wine on the other hand is clearly better and a nice dessert drop

Last sample from Kumoel, but I don't know if what's inside matches the label. Seems pretty sweet to me. I have chocolate, caramel, cookie and cocoa on nose and palate. It's okay, can be done once.

Yeah, the finish doesn’t suit my taste, but I fear the base spirit wasn’t very good either. Alcohol not well integrated, a slight but unpleasant floral note in the nose and finish. Also somehow salty on the finish. Not my rum.

I expected a bit more in taste. A bit sharp-edged and alcohol not so well integrated. Definitely worth a tasting. You can clearly taste the cask. The preceding wine that came with the sample gets a 9.6 from me! Clear purchase recommendation. 😀

A tasty del Artesano. You can recognize tar, chocolate and also berries, I think blackberries. Also quite pleasant on the finish, surely better ones exist but still a good choice to drink.

Phew, I'm actually a big Artesano fan and always find Sebastian's bottlings very consistent, but here the first impression is a bit tough. Quite dry, wood and very, very late a bit of fruit (cherry?). A very slight bitter note comes even later. The alcohol is well integrated. I have to try again to confirm the impression. For now clearly below 8.

Unfortunately way too rough an expirience drinking this. too much of alcohol in every sensation. and then a real harsh adstringent dryness of which i do not know what to do with. Possibly want more aging but not in this cask...
