#4900 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, light wood, spices, fruity, light citrus, vegetal, faint herbal, sugarcane. Palate Round, light wood, vegetal, light herbal, fruits, sugarcane, light citrus, medium spicy, light pineapple. Finish Medium to long, light wood, fruits, medium dry, light spicy, spice, light pineapple. . Also a pretty nice bottling but nothing spectacular.

Rum rather on the fruity side like peach. A fresh and floral side like rosemary. Especially on the nose. A fruity woodiness follows throughout the tasting. The nose and palate are consistent. The finish, average, goes more towards woodiness with a bit of bitterness. It doesn't seem to be its 10 years (continental aging?).

Rums from the Savanna distillery are among my favorites. I recommend everyone try especially the ester-heavy pieces like Grand Arome or HERR. You haven't felt so much fruit in just a few drops of liquid for a long time.

Very interesting taste. Peaches, spices (probably rosemary), I also feel mint. Nice spicy finish. I like it. Untraditionally traditional Reunion :-)
