Curiosity hunters and old-style Jamaica collectors are the real audience here — this is a bottled oddity more than a daily pour. The nose is the good part: yellow fruit like physalis, citrus peel, esters, a little vanilla and soft wood. Then the palate swings hard into sweet, thick sugar-syrup with an artificial vanilla edge that flattens the fruit. Interesting to taste once, but it drinks nothing like modern Jamaican rum.

A rum from the "Niki's und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2" series. A nose with all kinds of fruit: tropical, yellow, cherry. Herbaceous and lightly woody. The palate is pleasant and balanced, with a touch of vanilla and brown sugar. The finish is short, with a slightly strange sweetness/butteriness. A very drinkable rum, but not remarkable: you can feel the dilution, but the alcohol is very well integrated.

Nikis and Artur’s Jamaican Aventurien No7 Nose: Fruity bitter... orange peel, lime, sugar syrup. On the palate, you’re first hit unexpectedly by sweetness and thickness. Sugar syrup, citrus fruits, bitter notes.

Nikis and Arturs Jamaican adventures part 2. First of all, a big thank you again for the chance to have such rarities in the glass. To put it simply, Jamaican rum decades ago was not the rum you know from Jamaica today, but still very interesting to try. These are not really top-notch, but still more than drinkable.

On the nose I get vanilla, yellow fruits like physalis, a bit of rubber. Great experience. On the palate then a drop into a watery, artificial direction. At the back again dark molasses, vanilla notes indicating coloring or added aromas. A wild ride and great experience. But it has nothing to do with rum as we know it.

Nice nose with some fruits and esters. On the palate it is very much dominated by sweet notes and a sensation of artificial vanilla notes. Nose top - palate not for me really.

Still quite interesting on the nose - citrus fruit notes, yellow fruits, gentle wood and spice notes. Unfortunately a 180-degree turn to the negative on the palate, overwhelming sweetness that almost completely covers the profile. Shame.
