Old-school Enmore that owners keep coming back to. It pours dark and thick — one member says you almost have to chew it — with raisin, prune, tobacco, leather and dry heavy oak from thirty years in the barrel. The wooden-still character carries ash and dark fruit, and a few taste a sherry-like edge. The finish turns bitter and musty with tannins; most learn to like that by the third sip.

Intense peach iced tea and dried fruit on the nose. Really tasty, mature Guyana rum! Beautifully heavy, dark and intense. The drinking strength suits the rum well. Pleasant, dry finish. Light sherry finish?

This is so thick you have to chew it. Dark, musty where the many years in oak comes thru. Unfortunately the finish is too short.

On the nose we find plum, raisins, date ... It is not at all aggressive on the nose with its 46.5%, on the contrary it is very sweet. The nose is fruity and fresh but not only, because with aeration appears a heavier profile with notes of roasting, leather, wood ... The nose is undoubtedly attractive. In the mouth, it is creamy and less fruity than the nose, it is more woody and fat on the chocolate. We find some burned caramel. But a rather disturbing bitterness is present (bitter coffee, tannins ...). The finish is long on burned wood.

Beautiful old enmore, which does not benefit negatively from the few %. Round, elegant and balanced. Dried fruit, peach iced tea, wood, leather and herbs. A sherry finish would not surprise me here due to the rather thick viscosity. But it could also have a little more steam.

Everything fine and typical for an Enmore of this vintage until the finish where i can feel the wood a bit too much. A clear bitter and musty note (tannins, burnt sugar and wet wood) that you can get used to after the 3rd sip ;)

... Enmore - drive distillery, now only a functional distillation device. Probably the only wooden distillation device in the world that enjoys great popularity. Enmore rums have flavors of ash, leather, heavy wood, which especially delights lovers of smoky whiskies. And if the producer adds a bit of molasses to the rum in the traditional Guyanese way, you have a unique, very strong and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favorites
