My first rum from Guatemala drunk alone, not blended in a mix. The nose is mostly fruity (mandarin/fresh pineapple), honeyed. On the palate the entry seems syrupy, but a spicy pepper takes over. It fades to evolve into caramel. Finish, still caramel, orange zest returns, a bit of pepper remains. Conclusion: nose okay but a bit closed. Palate too spicy for me. Pleasant finish, but medium length.

Le rhum Journey label Guatemala est un rhum plutôt doux. Le nez est mielleux et fruité, très fruits jaunes. La bouche est piquante et caramélisée à la fois. La finale moyenne à courte est sur des notes poivrées et sucre surcuit.
