TDL meets Belize for a blend. At the beginning also quite a lot of mint mint mint 😀, coconut (and Belize) can also be well recognized after several smells. On the palate, two worlds somehow meet. It feels interesting though not perfect. At the back, especially the Belize share lingers, it becomes fruity dry naturally with mint. Nice utopia.

Well, Belize is not really my favorite profile. At first, I actually liked this blend quite a bit with the T.D.L markers. What unfortunately breaks it for me at least is this finish, which tastes like heartburn. The alcohol is not really well integrated there.

Utopia... that fits well... what a blend... amazing how well this mix between TDL and Belize harmonizes. Nothing dominates, both styles definitely come through and combine their advantages! I like it

TDL meets Belize, I hadn't had that in the glass before. I hadn't felt the need until now =D After the second tasting I have to say the blend suits me very well. As different as the two components may be, they complement each other very well. The starting shot on the palate is a dirty TDL profile, accompanied by the typical mint note. Eventually the milk chocolate-coconut from Belize fruits itself into the aroma spectrum until the unfortunately flat finish turns back to mint. Every sip seems different. This rum invites experimenting on the palate. Super!

This TDL Belize blend is bold and very well done. These are two rums with very different profiles, but ultimately complementary. The heavy TDL dominates and remains the base. The Belize comes in to round it off with chocolate/toffee in the attack and finish. A nice menthol freshness runs through the tasting. A good little mint chocolate like after-eight.

#6810 19.05.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after my hiking and picking up my wife. Listening to som nice tracks on Spotify by Nifra, Jardin and Hardwell. This is a pretty well balanced release with an OK price tag. A medium intense profile with nice mint, caramel, fruits, some glue, chocolate, spies and nice roasted wood.

Rum tasted at GRF in Berlin in 2026. A blend of TDL and Belize, two profiles I appreciate and which are well present on the nose. The alcohol is too present though, even though I let this rum rest a long time in my glass. The palate is beautiful, the blend is successful but yet not perfect, I feel the two distinct origins and they overlap instead of blending. I always love Trinidad rums for their aromatic power but here the fruits remain (too?) discreet. The finish is long, tasty. Very beautiful work.

Notes from my blog: On the nose: the TDL takes over, quite heavy. When I opened the sample, it was all I had. After a good 15 minutes, the Belize rounded out the very hydrocarbon-rich profile with more coconut & cocoa notes. Very nice, even if I was expecting a little more fruit. A hint of menthol also adds freshness, a note that's repeated on the palate. On the palate: a little slap in the face from the outset, it's powerful, the TDL is there, some red fruit, and always that freshness. On the other hand, Belize seems a long way behind. Finish: the cocoa is back, as is the brioche/butter flavour, prompting us to take another sip for the sake of indulgence. The mint is there, along with some dried apricots and lingering tea notes. It's more like a 50/50 that makes sense now!

Light minty-fruity TDL profile meets coconut-cocoa (and unfortunately a bit alcoholic) Belize profile. Got me more on the nose than on the palate. Not bad but I don’t need a bottle now.

The TDL takes the lion's share in this blend where it brings a strong menthol and fruity side. The indulgence of Belize comes through a discreet coconut. On the palate, superb TDL with a very dark and menthol profile. A little touch of chocolate. Alcohol very present. Finish that brings bitterness. Nice.

Fruit and herbs on the nose. On the palate, mint and herbs from the TDL complement the spice of the Belize portion well. Not overly complex, but quite round and tasty. The finish is not overly long, with licorice and herbs. Overall quite tasty, but no benchmark.

This blend surprised me positively. Never tried a rum from Belize before, but the blend from TDL and Belize gets me. At first a lot of mint, but the longer it breathes the more sweet aromas like vanilla, toffee and coconut come through. On the palate the sweet aromas are more dominant, but the TDL profile remains recognizable.

Successful experiment. You can notice the mint from the TDL and the coconut from Belize. Especially when you compare it to the pure TDL from Vagabond Spirits, you notice the Belize influence. Alcohol is definitely present, but for 59% ABV totally within range. I really like the blend.

A good blend where Belize dominates. I really like the nose, it gradually fades towards the back. The herbal tones from the TDL subtly waft through. The slight coconut and crème brûlée note confirms itself on the palate - mild and soft with nice facets, the short finish is primarily characterized by peppery, spicy, woody nuances.
