This too is column still, so I assume the same mark as the 13yo bottles. Not as much wood, a little more fruit and on the palate the alcohol is a bit stronger. However, this too had looong time to breathe (had to delay the tasting, so the sample was 1 day in the covered glass) and I really have no issue with this. Good one, also in regards to price for value, as this is single cask.

Vorweg, die gute Berwertung ist vor allem dem sehr guten PLV geschuldet. Ein mega leckerer Rum der bei mir aus irgendeinem Grund immer das Schicksal hat, in Cocktails zu landen 😂😅 Für mich rein assoziativ : Guyana x Spanien. Diesen Rum nehme ich als sehr süß war, mit schönen Tabak und Leder noten - wäre da nicht eine gewisse Sprittigkeit, ist er sehr gefällig. Und dann hat er plötzlich noch eine weitere Ebene aus Kräutern und Eukalyptus, die ich dann auch mit Guyana assoziiere und am Schluss sogar noch etwas Lakritze. Ich finde, hier kriegt man sehr viel leckeren Rum für wiklich moderates Geld, wann man bedenkt, was Velier und Co schon für irgendeinen unaged nimmt, der bestimmt seine Berechtigung hat, aber nicht für das Geld. Und da er eh ( viel zu schnell ) getrunken wird, stört mich nicht wirkilch, dass kein namhafter Abfüller dahinter steckt, der den Preis für den Inhalt für die kommenden Jahre unproportional in die Höhe treiben wird.

Geiles Teil. Liegt so schwer im Mund, daß man das Gefühl hat ihn kauen zu können. Im 2. Tasting immer noch ein schwerer toller Guyana.

Nach einem Kurzbesuch im Laden (Our Rum & Spirits) u.a. dieses Sample mitgenommen. Die Nase lädt ein mit Karamell, Schokolade, getr. Früchten, Nougat und Kaffee. Leider ist der Alkohol auch ziemlich präsent. Am Gaumen dann ein überraschend floraler/parfümierter Antritt, dazu getr. Früchte, Vanille und Gewürze. Leider auch hier wieder der Alkohol etwas zu dominant. Insgesamt eine solide Abfüllung.

Sehr ähnlich zu den Vorgänger-Abfüllungen von Our Rum & Spirit, für mich einen Ticken vorne, weil die Rauchigkeit etwas gebändigter daherkommt. Es geht aber um Nuancen, insgesamt bleibt das Profil natürlich nahe beieinander. Tolle Releases, auch hier bleibt mir nur festzuhalten, welche versteckten Highlights es lange zu mehr als fairen Preisen zu entdecken gab.

An der Nase kommen schöne Noten von dunklem Zucker und Malz rüber die aber stets mit dem Alkohol kämpfen. Ein schönes Mundgefühl begleitet von einer schönen Süße, die dem Alkohol entgegentritt. Abgang erst wie Toffee dann etwas bitter

Blind tasting. Nice maltiness on the nose at first, thought of a REV 1994 at first, but the impression quickly faded, so I guessed a Diamond, perhaps from 2002. The alcohol is very well integrated, you can taste a whole bunch of herbs, as well as strong eucalyptus. Although objectively certainly a very good rum at an incredible PLV, I somehow found it difficult to finish the sample. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea.

Hier ein Diamond aus Guyana. In der Nase bereits sehr kräftig nach Holz und Rosinen. Im Geschmack dann auch sehr intensiv nach Holz, Rosinen und generell sehr würzig. Auf jeden Fall ein super Rum und sehr zu empfehlen.

Farbe: Goldbraun Geruch: Riesen Schokokaramell. Fruchtig nach Pflaumen, Rosinen und Obstkuchen. Rumtopf und Rum-Trauben-Nuss Schokolade. Geschmack: Süß im Mund, vollmundig. Schmeckt würzig, nach Rum-Trauben-Nuss Schokolade und Rosinen. Abgang: Toffee, Riesen Schokokaramell, würzig, pfeffrig und schwarzer Tee. 83 Punkte

Toller Rum mit schönem Aromenspiel zwischen fruchtig, kräuterig und würzig. Dazu eine angenehme Süße ohne süß zu sein. Nach ein paar Minuten im Glas entfaltet we seine schokoladige Seite. Für heutzutage ein wahnsinniges PLV.
