This is a very delicious, round, harmonious Clarendon. Perfect as a daily sipper. The alcohol is integrated very well. Unfortunately it‘s diluted, otherwise this one could reach a high 80-90 valutation.

A fluctuating, unbalanced nose of solvent and bitter orange. A lively palate with overripe guava and pineapple. Magnificent tropical-fruit length. An interesting and pleasant rum. I've tried it again, and it's still good and pleasant.

A first Jamaican in my meager (recent) experience of old rums lover. And it is simply one of my first real crushes for this Plantation Jamaica 2003 that I took a long time to find one year after its release. A lot of exotic fruits and solvents in the nose, in the mouth it's an explosion of fruit and leather flavors with a rather long finish. Very well balanced, a real discovery, can't wait to taste it when it will be more airy... It won't last long! It is no less good :)

A very nice 17 year old sipper from Jamaica. It has the Jamaican funk but is also very fruity and well balanced. The fruitiness starts at the nose all the way through to the long finish. Finish has a bit of peppery to it and I like this one a lot. Price to quality is good.

For me, one of the Jamaicans with the best PLV. Fruity, dry, present esters, plus light spice, bitterness and slight acidity. Despite the long tropical maturation, the wood remains in the background, but gives a very balanced rum.Especially on the exhale shows a fruitiness of passion fruit and mango reminiscent of an IPA mixed with a tart bitterness - whose herbal facet is actually reminiscent of hops. Remains present in the finish for quite a long time. When Plantation delivers like this, there's no reason to criticize.

At least 2 bottles already opened, this Monymusk is one of my favorite sippers. 👃 Basket of tropical fruits mainly but also orchard and citrus. Floral and menthol notes, light esters that carry the fruitiness. Glue, solvents and light varnish. The Cognac barrel brings vanilla, island spices and dried fruits. 😋 Tropical fruit marmalade, ripe banana, woody spices, pepper, still beautiful esters. Dry wood, vanilla, dark chocolate. ⛳ Always fruity, warm and bitter. Oak wood, vanilla, dark chocolate, light leather, tobacco, dried tea. 💡 Excellent value for money this Clarendon 17 years, which is underrated. It's a must-have that is becoming rare over time.

Each time I open the bottle and re-taste the goodness, it gets better.... In the meantime, I have to adjust my initial opinion as I can now appreciate it much more. For me, one of the proofs that my pallet is gradually evolving.

A very fruity Jamaican rum, but a bit too light in alcohol. It suits beginners well who would grimace at a high ABV. The nose is as festive as the palate, and its easy-to-drink side on exotic fruits makes it a perfect rum to accompany a fruity dessert with family.

Very good Jamaican. Nice fruitiness throughout the mouth and nose, the funk is contained, the alcohol is slightly biting. Very tasty, but compared to others a bit characterless (at a very high level...).

A fruity ester nose, just the way you like it! A salad of ripe fruit, with a lovely caramelized apple as the main ingredient. We're in the gourmet section of the supermarket: marzipan, frangipane, chouchous (caramelized peanuts), ... the whole thing is very pastry-like. But let's not forget a quick trip to the drugstore aisle with the usual Solvents-Glues-Varnishes from this terroir. On the palate, it's in the same vein as the nose, incredibly fruity and soft on the palate. It's perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of woodiness for my taste. Candied fruit.

Compared to other MMW rums, the fruitiness stands out positively, which complements the spiciness well. Chocolate notes also please. Unfortunately, still quite alcoholic despite the 17 years and under 50%.

Great Jamaican. Fruity, dry, esters present, with a slight spiciness, bitterness and slight acidity. The long tropical maturation makes for a very balanced rum. Great fruitiness of passion fruit and mango mixed with a tart bitterness. Remains present for quite a long time in the finish.
