This is great! (Blind) sample from Road Rummers tasting. My first Mhoba, Would have picked Savanna, not far off;-)... a bit of plastic / burnt rubber, sweet pineapple, raisins. slightly nutty, waxy with toffee, caramel and banana candy. In the mouth hot, rich and sweet… With leather and funk. Finish is slightly astringent, barrel and spice remain. Water softens brings freshness & a hint of citrus.…

The Road Rummers Africa tasting Wow! Nice development in this one. Sometimes i'm getting artificial taste, but does it matter? This is just nice to drink. Coconut has a little NY touch. A soft nose with some nuts. A bit of fruit.

I recommend letting it air out for a while. Apart from the fact that the typical mhoba esters will start pouring through the room, it will mellow the aroma and taste beautifully. A wonderful bourbon aroma and flavor will emerge, in this bottling complemented by cocoa notes. At times the coconuttiness reminds me of an older bottling of NewYarmouth. I'd also highlight the delicious fruit flavor, which is very nice in the body of this bottling.

Beautiful Mhoba with a complex nose. Intense sweetness on the palate. Something artificial accompanies it all the time. Perfume and other aromas. Definitely special but delicious. I like it very much. Top.

The smell is quite a game changer. For a while I smelled a hint of Jamaica thanks to the pineapple, then bourbon and coconut ala Foursquare. What does Mhoba actually taste like after the bourbon? Well like Mhoba after bourbon 😃. I'm having a hard time describing the taste, but it's definitely goodness.
