One of the many batches in the range, this Longueteau presents a very distinctive nose, heavily oriented towards wood, roasted notes, nuts, chocolate, mocha, spices (nutmeg, vanilla), tobacco, and brown sugar. It's a round and elegant profile for an agricole rum, with added notes of dried fruits and caramel. The attack on the palate focuses on the same sensation of softness and elegance: dried fruits, candied citrus, brown sugar, caramel, and mild spices (pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla) make this Longueteau a voluptuous and indulgent juice, refined by toasted oak and tobacco. The mouthfeel is pleasant, ample, with good alcohol integration. The finish, a bit drier and less striking, returns to a profile more oriented towards mocha, honey, oak, spices, tobacco, and dried fruits. It's a pleasing cuvée that will delight fans of the indulgent side of agricole rums but comes at a certain price nevertheless.
