A relatively simple rum that delivers on its Jamaican origin with overripe fruit and a hint of funk, while remaining uncomplicated and undifferentiated. On the palate it’s clear there’s been some sugar added, and a distinct bitterness joins the fruit and oak. A reasonable “intro to Jamaica” option for drinkers that aren’t ready for a more interesting expression.
