#6695 24.04.2026 Online tasting with the gang. Sometimes it is just nice to sit and talk about things going on in your life while enjoying a few rums. Today this is a pretty expensive bottle, but it is a very nice one to say the least. A very fruity agricole with some nice nutts and roasted wood. The longer it rests the more it opens up!

Richtig schöner Rum, welcher trotz Verdünnung auf Trinkstärke trotzdem sehr komplexe Noten aufweist. Fruchtig, Würzig und Holzig in guter Balance. Danke Jakob für die Gelegenheit ein weiterer 1989 probieren zu können! 😊

What an epic evening with one flight after another, indescribable. I'll spare any individual comment because sometimes I lack the words. Many thanks to Jakob. All in all, all were excellent as you can see from the ratings and differ only in nuances. All top level 🤤😋

Differs a lot from the other Ballys in the flight. Nose intense with pear and dried pear. On the palate more dried pear. A bit of cinnamon is also there. An unusual rum. It comes across better on the nose.

Surprising: Strong pear note on the nose and palate. Intense spiciness and cask influences, fresh and dried fruits, sugarcane sweetness. Nice finish, rounded profile, the mouthfeel fades a bit in the aftertaste.
