Peach and apricot lead, backed by honey, caramel and a little vanilla, with fruity Guatemala-and-Belize character underneath. Most tasters call it young, fruity and clearly on the sweet side, with a slightly sharp, not-quite-tucked-in alcohol. Not deep, but genuinely pleasant. One member summed it up as "young, fruity and relatively sweet from the nose to finish," and that's the honest picture.

In the nose much rounder than the other bottlings of the price range - very rich smell with surprising notes such as nut and light chocolate.Taste very fresh and fruity. Peach, stone fruit, vanilla - without becoming intrusive. Gets darker (raisin, tobacco) when it gets air and warmth. Super round box, makes me really fun.

25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. ------ RETASTING ------ Quick notes while tasting. A rum I'd use for a mixer because it is out of balance in my mind.

This rum has something of everything without being able to grasp it properly. Fruits, spices, wood and the usual sweetness from the Plantation Core Range. Unfortunately, also a somewhat unpleasant alcoholic sharpness. At the rate a nice rum for beginners to get to know different flavors.

A very successful plantation from Guatemala and Belize. Sherry notes can be recognized on the nose. These are reflected in the taste and you also notice notes of tobacco, pineapple and honey. A good, solid rum.

This Rum amazes me. It's surprising how such a rather young and really affordable Rum is so tasty drunk neat. Its very fruity, especially pineapple, with some notable esters and rather sweet (due to added sugar). a little sharp but very enjoyable

Cool to please friends not used to rum. Too bad, it’s missing just a little for the Belize to take over and carve a real place behind the Ron which is too present for my taste. Unfortunately too sweet.

Blend of young rums but to be honest, it's amazing for the price. It stands a little bit on the sweeter side but it's fruity and complex taste is great and ideal for all night sipping.

A balanced entry-level blend with chocolatey depth from Belize and fruity notes from Guatemala. The alcohol is somewhat present but not disturbing. Served at a friend's birthday. Not a highlight.

Fruity nose dominated by peach or apricot. In addition, honey, caramel and cocoa. In the mouth quite sweet with caramel/honey, alcoholic spicy and again the apricot/peach that also stays a little longer. In the mouth the fig comes in more interestingly. No special top quality, that is clear, but this rum has its charm.

Very nice and fruity. Molasses, a hint of vanilla, a lot of fresh fruit, like apples and pear on the nose. Sweet, but not too sweet on the palate, again, with mostly fruity vibes and distinct fermented fruit taste. Very delicious!

Clearly more pleasing than expected. A light rum that has a bit of everything. It has a pleasant honey sweetness without really being sweet. Some fruitiness, a few spices and very little wood in the background. Really okay for the price and a good alternative to all the sweet rums.

Retasting: Still one of my favorites from Plantation. In all fairness I have to take 2 points down. It is similar to Barbados Grand Teroir but much rounder, full bodied and a bit sweeter but perfect for my taste.Tastes like nothing else but fruts, bit of vanila but mostly spices such as cinnamon. The finish ia medium long.

Le nez se veut très sucré sans être écœurant, mais annonce davantage un rhum arrangé qu'un rhum brun. Le palais est conforme au nez, sucré, fruité... on dirait une infusion de crème catalane, de pêche au sirop avec un soupçon de cannelle. La finale est plutôt courte, sans grande variation par rapport au corps. Dans l'ensemble, la dégustation est agréable, suave et donne envie d'y retourner. Toutefois, elle ne correspond pas vraiment à ce que j'attends en ouvrant un rhum, un peu trop doux peut-être ? Attendez... je vais reassayer histoire d'en être sûre...

A tropical nose, a very soft and sweet natural punch that I like. The taste of peaches with a base of crème catalane (a vanilla cream with burnt sugar and caramelized sugar). The final note that falls too quickly still leaves a taste, probably a 'come back' 😉.

The nose is quite busy. A mixed bag of oak, cocoa and coconut husk next to juicer notes of raisin and orange peel. The palate has a big hit of ripe peaces and figs. It's on the sweet side. Some darker, earthyness aswell. A touch of peppery spice but not much oak on the taste compared to the nose. A mid lengh finish. Hint of tropical fruit and some burnt sugar. Overall not bad. Pretty middle of the road but does have some nice fruity notes.

For this price, a very pleasantly drinkable rum. In the nose, I feel lots of fruity tones, coconut and a hint of plums ending with vanilla and caramel. On the palate, sweet notes of fruit and caramel continue. For my part, I can say I will definitely come back to this rum.

Lots and lots of spice, well maintained through the nose and carried on almost in full to the palate as well. Rich, full-bodied and almost velvety creamy! I have a cold as of this tasting, but I am getting none of the fruit or caramel mentioned elsewhere- only spice. And it is delicious! This is kind of like a pastry in liquid form. A good one for me.

It's an ok dram but nothing extraordinary. For me it is a bit too thin and sweet. I think tho that it has very nice fruit notes, vanilla fudge and toffee. Quite ok for drinking daily perhaps for the price.

I bought this spontaneously at the airport, without very high expectations, but it is really an excellent rum. Some flavors remind me of the older 'brother', the 20-year-old XO. However, this variant has a 'lighter' flavor profile, making it very pleasant and easy to drink. Highly recommended!

Finally some flavour - peaches! At least i get something now… Apart from peaches? Some other fruits but they are way off in the distance - again I suspect the cognac cask has killed off whatever character was left in this rum I wonder how this would have turned out had they just bottled it from the Caribbean with no cognac maturation at all This had promise and potential but ultimately not enough for me to want to buy a bottle…
