Several call it smooth, even easy-drinking, but the recurring gripe is that it reads thin and watered-down at 52.5%. Lovely, versatile agricole; just don't expect it to outshine the standard Neisson Blanc it's built on.

Today the Velier Triple Entente in a glass. First the Neisson: It fits in seamlessly with Neisson's good blancs. However, it does not play a prominent role. It is a good choice both on its own and in Ti Punch. I personally prefer the latter, as it has a slightly bitter note on its own.

To be fair: we f‘ed up the sequence here 😅 Should definitively have stated with the Neisson. Compared to the Hampden and FS this one feels comparatively thin and watered down. Nevertheless very solid and in line with other unaged Neisson releases.

Another great single parcel from neisson! In his whites one can fully understand the great quality of his sugarcane that in distillation does not lose its fragrance and originality! This white is an expression of the great work done in its terrior!

#5387 09.06.2025 My friend brought these samples today after I got back from my long morning walk. I just had to give them a try today 😊 Nose Fresh, balanced, light floral, Agricole, light grass, sugarcane, light citrus, faint smoke, fruits. Palate Oily, fresh, smooth, Agricole, fruity, light citrus, sugarcane, spice, faint smoke, light apple. Finish Oily, fresh, smooth, fruits, light citrus, light apple, spice, faint smoke. Empty glass Light smoke, faint nutts, light earthy, sugarcane, light mineral. This is as expected from Neisson a very smooth rum, I love how they are able to always make rums that are smooth and velvety on the palate.

The whole Entente set had to face DomM and me, both neat and in a Daiquiri. Foursquare is very interesting but an acquired taste. I had a certain cauliflower, cooked kohlrabi association here. Hampden is in my opinion the most balanced and the typical Hampden notes are easily recognizable even unaged. The alcohol is also top integrated here. Neisson is as it should be and what you expect from it, nothing bad but unfortunately nothing outstanding either. The ranking remained the same both neat and in the Daiquiri. 1. Hampden 2. Foursquare 3. Neisson

A top Neisson Blanc with the familiar aroma profile, very smooth, almost easy drinking, sips away very easily. But apart from the increased smoothness, I wouldn't say that it has much more to offer than the standard Neisson Blanc, perhaps a little more herbs. The bottom line is that it's very tasty, but the much cheaper Neisson Blanc would do as well.

7,5:On the nose, the first impression we get is a typical unaged agricole with vegetal notes like mushrooms, olive, flowery with geranium, as sugarcane is mineral, fermented and juicy. Certainlly there is some litchi. After airing the rum, a parfume arises, some chocolate and nuty notes and spice. 7,4:On the palate, the attack is typical agricole, vegetal with flowery, herbal notes, sap, the sugarcane is mineral, juicy and peppery.There is some lime. After resting, the rum is more bitter with an olive,there is grass, earthy, nutty notes,perhaps a bit smoky and medicinal. The fruits that arise are green, we could taste some yeast, left from fermentation. 7,4:The finish is medium long, dry, vegetal with grass, sap and geranium, fruity with kumquat, green apple, as sugarcane is mineral and spicy. Tasted blind. I had identified Martinique with a true typicity of some agricoles from that origin. But here, the lemon zest and vegetal side are particularly present. Notes of fermentation on the nose as well. The herbal character is heightened on the palate. A nice bitterness, between grapefruit and lemon zest. Very nice.

Velier Triple Entente Tasting: For me a typical unaged Agricole and not a bad one at all. Besides the classic markers you taste different citrus aromas. For me the best of the series.

This is a typical Neisson rum. It does not necessarily excel, nor does it disappoint. You get their typical agricole markers in the smell and the taste. You do ask yourself the question what is so special about this rum that it was put it the special (and expensive) Triple Entente set. I would prefer a Clos Godinot over this rum and it would be cheaper. The Neisson comes second with the FS in my daiquiri competition. The Hampden Triple Entente takes last places and the 2018 Clairin Casimir takes first place. This Neisson boosts that lemon flavor making a boozy kind of lemonade.

Very exciting and balanced Agricole Blanc here from Neisson. Rarely have I experienced such a pleasant and naturally held aroma of fresh mandarins, grapefruits, and kumquat marmalade. Plus a slight earthy ginger spiciness and some lychee on the finish. Very tasty, only the dilution spoils the picture, the viscosity is quite watery and thin here, there was potential for more. Could have easily been bottled with 5-10% more... Especially at the price asked. In terms of complexity, for me so far one of the best unaged Neissons!

Nice neisson with the typical markers. Those who are familiar with Esprit will find it somewhat under-complex and lackluster. Nevertheless, a good white rum to drink.
