#6691 24.04.2026 Online tasting with the gang. Sometimes it is just nice to sit and talk about things going on in your life while enjoying a few rums. This is a pretty nice rum with a nice herbal touch in the fruits and mint.

Toujours intéressant de goûter un uitvlugt, même si celui ci est relativement jeune de 12 ans. Le nez n est pas hyper emballant, un peu trop alcoolique, ressort quand même de la noix et du sucre brûlé. Même si on est sur des goûts assez inhabituels , le bouche est complexe et plutôt bien équilibrée. Alcool mieux intégré qu au nez.

Tasted and presented at the Brussels Rum Festival this weekend! Nose: floral; herbal, honeyed Palate: complex, wide palette: lemon, exotic fruits, papaya, nut Finish: floral, (woody), slight camphor note = young but complex, younger than most Guyanas I had tasted so far.

15/03/25: tasted @ Brussels Rhum Festival. I was somewhat dissapointed by this one from Guyana. Didn't really have the deep, dark flavours you look for. Probably a bit too young. Alcohol could have been integrated a bit better as well.

🐟 Ricci Zodiac Poisson 2024 – 62.8% A rum from Guyana distilled in 2012 in column still (mark MDL), bottled after 12 years of aging. The nose reveals herbal and honeyed aromas, with a certain elegance. Despite its respectable age, it retains a somewhat "wild" liveliness that will appeal to lovers of straightforward profiles.

Nez : fleurs blanches, herbacé et un léger côté chocolat. Bouche: toujours florale, chocolat au lait. Un rhum assez franc mais tout de meme une peu de complexité malgré son jeune age. Finale moyennement longue. Pourtant mourant n est vraiment pas mon profil, mais celui ci, je peux y trouver un certains interet.
