A punchy nose. Honeycomb, roasted nuts and clove. The mouth is deeper with oak and brown sugar. Finish brings complex tobacco and toasted barrel or burnt notes. The sherried finish works well but if anything it’s a bit brash and unrefined. I’m borderline 8.5 but think 8.0 for now. Heard good things but not quite as good as expected

Another splendid release from Foursquare! Arguably the best rum distillery on the planet right now for consistent quality. The sherry matches so perfectly with the distillate for this Master Series Edition 3. Fruity and tannic with a good balance of floral coconut and baking spice flavours. If you can find it within 25-40% of its MSRP than it’s definitely worth getting. If you’re already a fan of Foursquare then this is an instant buy!
