Cazanove Maison Centenaire Superieur des Antilles 1980
Opinion here runs from "beautiful discovery" to one member half-joking he nearly gagged — this old 1980 Caribbean bottling divides people. It's mostly woody: varnished wood, caramel, a touch of red wine and spice on the nose, then sweeter on the palate with vanilla, grapes and raisins. The 40% sits soft, almost too soft — several tasters wished it were bottled stronger to open up.
The community says- Ample woody nose
- Vintage character
- But: Low, soft proof

How does Cazanove Maison Centenaire Superieur des Antilles 1980 taste?
Aggregated from 13 community reviews.
Woody vintage agricole, soft and polarizing A polarizing old vintage: fans call it an ample, unusual find, others find the low proof flat and the wet-cardboard finish off-putting. Real character, not for everyone.

Last one for today.

This rum is so extense aromatic agricole, that I was in doubt if I go to vomit or it is amazing non-replicable rum. I am still not decidet yet, but I kept everything in my stomach. Even if my sense of vomiting was pretty strong :)

Review by cigares
