Nice 2010 EMB, but despite the 54.5% a bit thin. But good value for money.

Astringent, somewhat woody, slightly bitter. Classic Clarendon profile. I'm missing a bit of complexity.

Fresh and fruity on the nose, I find some peach and a bit of wood. On the palate pleasantly uncomplicated, almost easy drinking. I find the peach again, plus some grapefruit or mandarin and a bit of tannin/cask. The finish is not very long, but that's not a problem here. A pleasant, uncomplicated fellow who is basically well-liked.

So it's quite a good Clarendon, I like it. Esters are of course noticeable, but also vanilla and a bit of caramel. It also tastes quite woody and spicy, there are better ones but this Clarendon is okay.
