Menthol and cough-drop herbs hit first, then it softens into mirabelle plum, redcurrant and fresh honeycomb with a dusting of cinnamon. One member called the nose "sweet cough syrup" and meant it fondly. Dry and gently spiced on the palate, medicinal in a good way — but thin-bodied, and at 55% the alcohol pokes through the nose.

This is my first rum from Grenada and I immediately noticed that the RA bottling from 2019 (3 years older and stored for 2 years less) is still available for just over half the price of the current bottling! Nose: I immediately have a smile on my face - the first association is sweet cough syrup. The first impression disappears with time and then come herbs and mint, later still currant and mirabelle plums and something sweeta like honey, very exciting! Unfortunately, the alcohol stings a little on the nose. On the palate, I initially have a pleasant medicinal impression (almost like Swiss stone pine) that lingers and is wonderfully framed by sweetness, fruit, herbs and spice. In the medium-long finish, the aromas fade evenly and slowly. A very nice experience with this rum from Grenada. Now I'm curious and would like to try the old bottling too.

Subtle herbal notes on the nose alongside the typical Grenada profile with oak and caramel. A little more delicate on the palate, again light herbal notes alongside the classic ex-bourbon cask profile. Not an aroma monster, rather straightforward. Solid rum, relaxed to drink.

When I check the tasting rum, I really wonder if I have been tasting the same. There really isn't the complexity I was hoping for. There is caramel and more sweetness, but the finale is very short, and I really don't get anything else.

Very restrained on the nose, yet complex. Hints of black tea, fruit aromas and spice. Taste: Spicy and mild at the same time. Aniseed and menthol notes. Thin and watery consistency. Volatile finish, rather short. All in all, it wouldn't be worth the money for me.

Unexpectedly cool! Great nose of red & black currants, fresh honeycomb, cinnamon pastry and fully ripe mirabelle plums. Aromatic then slightly acidic, fruity of yellow stone fruit and red berries, dry and with some roasted sesame and subtle mint and pastries (like a fancy croissant with filling). Very tasty and surprisingly different!

Somehow quite interesting, but not really overwhelming. Reminds me of the taste of lemon/ginger tea with a pleasant sweetness. Alcohol could be a little better integrated. A bit flat overall.
