At 60.5% you'd expect a bruiser, but this cask-strength Foursquare drinks rounder than the number suggests. Pineapple and red berries lead, backed by vanilla, milk chocolate and warm spice from the bourbon cask. The wood turns assertive on the finish, and a few tasters found it borderline drying. A tidy 2011 vintage that some feel is classic Foursquare, others "Foursquare boredom."

#4609 10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. Nose Wood, fruity, light roasted, pineapple, light caramel, berries, spice. Palate Wood, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, berries, spice, light chocolate, light ginger. Finish Long and warm, wood, light roasted, fruity, light cherry, light chocolate. A very good rum considering the price tag.

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.

Another Foursquare from the bottler Nobilis. Doesn't do anything particularly wrong. Alcohol is well integrated. But also Foursquare boredom. Vanilla, coconut, spices and a bit of milk chocolate.

Very round and tasty younger Foursquare. Intense notes both on the nose and taste of pineapple, red berries, some ginger, cinnamon, and milk chocolate. Very harmonious 2011 vintage, although quite woody on the finish.

14-03-2026 - Rate 8.2 Has this one in a Foursquare line up of 7 rums. Was quit good, but not the best. I like the Nobilis 16 years better. Much power in the taste. Feels like more than 60,5% ABV. The wood dominates a bit to much

Salon Du Rhum 2024 Just your regular Foursquare, but has some warmth to it. In the mouth I'm getting red fruits apart from your regular Foursquare palate.

It's a good Foursquare for me. But tasted next to the Velier Indomnitas and Principia I find it less well finished. Nice roundness, pretty pleasant fruit but the finish is slightly bitter which I don't like in a Foursquare. Still a good value for money!
