The surprise here is a creamy, milky veil over the fresh sugarcane — not what you expect from a white agricole. Underneath sit lemon zest, herbs and an oddly medicinal, bitter-orange edge that a few tasters compared to Asian herbal medicine. Marie Galante cane runs through it, dry and green. Most agree the nose out-promises the palate, and the finish falls a touch short.

Pretty smooth and well balanced. ------------- #5094 Sunday - The last shots before our partners are picking us up 😊 24.01.2025 - 26.01.2025 A nice weekend in my sisters summerhouse with old friends and colleagues tasting a lot of rums. I can only recommend like we did, no phones allowed and then only music in the background 😊 Colour Transparent. Nose Medium intense, light roasted, light floral, light medicinal, faint vegetal, light citrus. Palate Light oily, medium intense, fresh, light vegetal, light medicinal, floral, citrus, light sugarcane. Finish Medium to long, fresh, light vegetal, light citrus, light sugarcane. Empty glass Sugarcane, faint caramel, light vanilla, light floral, light citrus.

Rather medicinal and vegetal with hardly any fruity aromas except some pear and kiwi. The alcohol could be better integrated and is quite dominant here. In the ti punch it makes a pretty good figure but neat it doesn't convince me and tastes too bitter and too much like iodine.

A rather good Marie Galante, intense on the nose and palate... in addition to the classic fresh vegetal aromas, sweet fruits appear on the nose, which change towards bitter orange on the palate. A heavy sweetness is clearly perceptible. The finish then changes... a strange medicinal bitterness is very present at the beginning, before the typical herbal Agricole aromas become noticeable very late. Unfortunately, the finish costs a few points. So it remains just very good. PS: I have it in the Ti Punch right now...it's excellent there 😋👍🏻

First of all thanks for giving away the bottle. As always with this profile, interesting to have tried it neat, but it won’t be my favorite profile. The bottle was mainly bought as a mixer for TiPunch/Daiquiri experiments. There it delivers as expected too.

Very good Bielle. For an Agricole, I hardly have any grassy, green notes here. More earthy and quite a bit of bitterness without being unpleasant. Great base product, certainly aged very very well.

This one has it pretty tough when you've tasted the RX16236 before. Also a nice sugarcane distillate, but on the tongue it can't quite confirm the nose anymore. Especially the finish is not as long as hoped. So just shy of an 8, but still a great piece.

A white rum in the pure agricole style, whose nose immediately evokes fresh sugar cane, as if we were in a sugar cane field. You also find citrus (lemon zest) and medicinal notes that offer something indulgent, fragrant and more complex than a simple vegetal white rum. The profile is dry but with a nice roundness and good balance. On the palate, no more fruits but freshness notes on flowers, aromatic herbs and a bit like traditional Asian medicine scent. There is also quite a bit of chili and pepper that spice up the palate. Despite these lively aromas, the juice is rather round, creamy and easy to drink. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is of good length and combines both nose and palate aromatically: the fruitiness returns with the citrus, while a spicy thread left by the palate remains. The profile remains dry, green, earthy but keeps a nice freshness. A very good Bielle that gives roundness and flavor in every respect.

On the nose there is immediately a veil of cream/milk that wraps the vegetal cane and some light citrus, it's very surprising and pleasant. The mouth follows this logic with a little bitter orange and medicinal complementary side, which adds a bit of complexity and pleasure, the rum evolves. However, the finish left me wanting, a bit too average and bitter, otherwise it was really a gem! The bottle didn't survive two evenings in a row... luckily there is a second one in stock!

Another Bielle release for Swell. This time, a very fresh and floral white where the cane dominates. On the palate, it's very spicy. The cane again. A herbal side. It's good. Ideal in ti-punch. But not the best release from this bottler.

A very pleasant Agricole. On the nose and palate lots of sugarcane and freshness. Good to drink neat, alcohol quite well integrated. Its true strength unfolds in Ti Punch, where it is really a blast.

I just can't warm up to Agricole. To me, it tastes like a fruit brandy, and I enjoy drinking that as a "schnapps" rather than tasting it like rum. As a fruit brandy, it's quite okay. But nothing more.
